Our variety show for 2024 is a celebration of all things 1990s. Come with us as we travel through the decade and reminisce on the music, TV, film and news of each year. Whether you remember it well or if you weren't even born, come and join in the nostalgia!

Wareside Entertainers was founded in 1978 by Derek and Marion Hirschle with people from the village and a few friends and relations. WE have expanded over the years to include members from surrounding villages and towns, with many of our members travelling some distance to perform with us.

Audience comments for our recent production of "The Vicar of Dibley", performed in June 2024:

I just wanted to praise EVERYONE who was involved with the production at the weekend, from acting, lighting, sound, scenery, prompt and props being moved so efficiently. It was a thoroughly enjoyable production.

[We] made everyone aware of their [WETs Awards] voting forms and if there weren't that many completed, it is because people were saying everyone was so good they couldn't choose.

I am sure it was a feel good factor to all involved, because it certainly was to me, to hear many members of the audience say as they left that it had lifted them.

Well done one and all.

[Family] who support all our shows wanted me to convey how much they had enjoyed the show and wanted to convey their congratulations. They said that all the parts were very well played.

I have had some lovely feedback from my [Hunsdon's] Quintessence [Drama Group] friends. They all enjoyed the show, thought the casting was perfect, could hear every word and were impressed by us all being word perfect.
